The Himagira Exporters Pvt. Ltd. aims to supply premium Sri Lankan spices to the international market at a reasonable cost. We provide quality, quantity, pricing, and diversity to our clients. A new business with a seasoned board of directors is Himagira Exporters Pvt Ltd. We are situated in Uva Province’s Buttala Industrial Estate, which is known for its agricultural significance and beautiful scenery in the Monaragla District. It acts as a center for agricultural, particularly for crops including vegetables, fruits, rice, and spices.
We are now working to serve the spice sector by providing a continuous process that makes it simple to add value and expand our clientele. Since our founding, we have built a solid platform for future industry expansion, acquired a prominent location, and created a distinctive and identifiable brand identity. These successes show that we have what it takes to succeed in the national spice industry and achieve our goal of giving our community access to premium spices.
We work closely with rural farmers to support sustainable farming practices, natural standards, and greater prices for smallholders. Our organization provides assistance to improve farming practices and increase farmer incomes and living standards. We take pride in changing society for the better. Methodology
To boost export competitiveness,
the initiative intends to enhance the quality and safety of food in the natural
spice sector. Supporting low-income local producers, particularly those from
underrepresented groups who are shut out of formal value chains will be the
main goal. To produce healthy spices, about 1,200 growers and 50 other value
chain participants will participate.
Through interventions excellent agricultural and hygienic standards, the
project is enhancing food safety practices and increasing equal involvement for
women, particularly women harvesters.
Value-added food safety
concerns in the production,
post-harvesting, processing, and trading of spices will be the focus of the
company. To comply with international SPS standards, it will enhance safety
management systems and increase the ability of stakeholders and small-holder
farmers to apply Good Hygienic Practices (GHP), Good Agricultural Practices
(GAP), and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). It is anticipated that
implementing food safety and hygienic procedures throughout the production and
manufacturing phases will lower levels of pathogens, aflatoxin, and
microbiological contamination and improve product cleanliness.
